Our client, a well-known Finance house located is seeking a API Developer to join the team.  
The role will encompass both Development and a bit of Support with the following breakdown showing more detail:

  • Analyze and design interfaces across multiple systems and produce supporting documentation
  • Work on the full lifecycle of a project including business & Customer requirement gathering, implementation and acceptance testing
  • Participate and contribute to automation / API driven development on the design/development of integrating disparate systems
  • Understand and analyze the data formats between interoperable systems
  • Understand different types of automation/integration possible between systems and components
  • Ensure that the developed services adhere to architectural best practices and guidelines
  • Contribute to common/reusable components/frameworks and templates that facilitate consistent patterns and saves development efforts
  • Develop self-documenting interfaces to ensure that the documentation is created for each integrating system covering: data formats, data validations, data mappings, security
  • Contribute actively to continuous improvement
  • Serve as Level 2 and 3 application portfolio management and support
  • Log and manage service tickets allocated to a team
  • Resolution of tickets to end user's satisfaction within SLA and ITIL Framework
  • Tracking of critical items; communicate and escalate according to ticket severity as per support framework
  • Organize post incident/ problem review 
To be considered for this excellent opportunity, we are keen to hear from candidates that possess the following skills and experience:

  • 3+ years of automation/integration support and development experience
  • Experience with file-based interfaces (SFTP & FTP)
  • Ability to support, troubleshoot, deployment and tuning automation/integration
  • Experience using J2EE, XML, XSLT, JMS, JSON, SQL, SOA, etc
  • Solid understanding of automation/integration design patterns and best practices.
  • Experience with data transformation involving Common Message Models, including XML, JSON, CSV or fixed-width.
  • Mulesoft experience
  • Experience with scripting languages like JavaScript, Shell script, Python
  • Experience with custom SDLC processes such as code versioning, packaging, test-driven development (TDD), continuous integration, test automation, code analysis, and code quality metrics
